How do I get my zune program to recognize all of the songs on my computer?

I place all of my songs in a folder, and the zune program on my computer will not recognize some of the songs from it. Its very frustrating and i am considering taking it back for this problem.

The songs it won’t recognize are either in the incorrect format or they are DRM protected.
