Excellent I-Pod Skin

This is a excellent skin to use on the 2nd gen ipod touch. I wanted something that was going to cover the ipod and keep scratches off the back of the ipod. I like that the product came with a screen protector, cleaning cloth and a insert that really protects the charging terminals on your ipod. Those terminals can easily get messed up when you throw your ipod in your bag with pens and pencils. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to keep their ipod scratch free and stylish.

Does the job but the COlor BLOWS

The color is OFF. It is not this shiny transluscent type of color that you see. It is muted and rubbery as another poster said.

So while it works, it is a bit of a fake picture.

This is the best iPod Touch 2nd Gen case I have ever bought. It fits my ipod perfectly and the color is bright and gorgeous as seen in the picture. Its durable and feel soft in your hand. I just really like this case.

I really like this small case. Simple and cheap, but fits really well. I place front and back clear protectors on my Touch, but felt it needed a small more protection so I got this. Also like how silky smooth it feels!

Fantastic case!

The color varies from what is shown in the image it is more a darker blue and is not as brightly shown as it is in the current image (only reason for 4 stars). The silicone is well made and covers the volume and power buttons but you can still easily access them. Also there is an extra silicone insert for the place where you plug in the power cord to the ipod that you can place in the ipod when you don’t have a cord in it. The headphone jack is open and simple to access. Mine did come with a screen protector but it was a protector for the iphone (not sure why i got that when i ordered an ipod case?) Over all it is a fantastic case protector and it has a smooth feel to it. I will buy from this company again they had quick shipping too!

With the screen protector you have to peel the white tab that is on the one end and you lay the part you just peeled the tab off of onto your ipod and it protects fantastic.

not what I was expecting

Incipio makes quality products but this one was not what I was expecting.

The picture does not match the item. The silicone rubber sleeve is fine but I was expecting what is apparently another model which has a translucent hard plastic overlay that clips over the rubber sleeve. That version provides much better protection. The screen protector is a small tough to apply but it is an essential accessory to keep the screen from being scratched.

It’s a case, sure. Does it look like the picture? No. The color is nowhere close to how cool the picture here looks, imagine my disappointment. It’s just a dull, dull rubbery light bluish green color and not even half as vibrant as the picture. It comes with a screen protector which is excellent. I say excellent not fantastic… it’s a pain to get on and doesn’t stick whatsoever (yeah, um, hello bubbly crap look). I guess most screen protectors are like that though. The volume and hold buttons are enclosed by the rubbery goodness but still work well. That’s pretty much it. Not impressed.

Beware… do not buy this case.

About 1 month ago I bought a 32GB iPod Touch and this case from Amazon.

The iPod has remained in this case since the moment I removed it from it’s package.

Yesterday I was extremely alarmed when I removed the iPod from the case for the first time and learned that the ENTIRE polished chrome back is marred by severe scratches!!! These are not long, linear sctatches but more like scratched in “blotches” apparently caused by the “squirmy” nature of the soft silicone used in this case allowing tiny particles that worked their way in to grind away at the polished chrome. Yes… I did verify that they are scratches and it’s not just dirty. FWIW I carry the iPod in my jeans pocket most of the time.

If you value the appearance of your gorgeous iTouch for future re-sale or whatever, AVOID THIS CASE.

Stylish, but Slippery and Loose Fitting

I bought this case for its low cost and for the included screen protector film. This item is fantastic if you just splurged on a 2nd generation iPod Touch and you’re feeling guilty.

I had bought the Incase sleeve for my 1st generation iPod Touch and loved it. The back of the Incase sleeve was grooved with a woodgrain-like texture to provide a excellent grip and it adequately defended my iPod against my toddler.

Compared to the Incase sleeeve, the Incipio sleeve doesn’t hold up as well. It’s honestly slippery and my toddler was able to easily remove the sleeve and pry off the screen protector film. If you keep your iPod Touch in a pants pocket with car keys, watch out…. the car keys could easily slip under the sleeve.

Nice form factor but way to soft

I wouldn’t feel comfortable with it in a backpack because the edges can easily escape from the skin. The included screen protector is garbage, my fingernail scratches it… Overall it looks nice and protects the scratchy metal on the back but it is way too soft to provide a secure tight fit to protect the edges. A key in your pocket could easily slip under the skin in the front and scratch the edges. If your looking for a case you can throw into a purse/backpack/pocket with stuff that can scratch your itouch get something sturdier.
