Great speakers for the price and size

It did take a bit of time to figure out how to use it although it appeared to be quite simple at first. The instructions say that the iPod Shuffle need not be turned on if the speakers are plugged in but after struggling with it for a while I realized that the Shuffle had to be turned on or otherwise there will be no sound coming out from the speakers.
But after you figure out how to work it, it is actually a very good product. There are several speakers for Shuffle out there but the prices are often higher than the price of the Shuffle or for the cheaper versions, they don’t sound very good at all. This one, however, is excellent. The size makes it truly portable. The sound is great. I think it is plenty loud for speakers this size, and the quality is very good. If you are not looking for Bose quality (then again, why would you for the price you pay for this one), then this is truly excellent. I was very apprehensive at first, but I am convinced. This is worth your money and you will enjoy it very much.
One drawback is that, since it has a place for everything (storing the shuffle itself and the ear piece), there is no place to store the electric cord and plug. I will mention that it does take batteries if you are travelling in the car or so. It would be nice though if for later version they can include an adapter for the car as well.
Small but great sound

I was skeptical about this speaker set given how small it was but in light of the scarce choices for ipod shuffle speakers, I bought this and I must say I was really surprised at how clean and loud these little speakers are. I first tried it on the higher output setting, which I don’t recommend because you get more hissing that way. On the normal setting, it sounds great. The package overall is well made and somewhat heavier than I anticipated, which was a welcomed surprise. No, I don’t recommend this if you’re going for a really loud speaker system, but it’s terrific for travel and whenever you want your shuffle mix without the headphones. Also, it’s really neat how the shuffle fits perfectly into the slot for storage.

Great sound, works perfect. Lots cheaper than in any local store. Received in less than 48hours after ordering. Couldn’t ask for anything more. This model works only with the iPod Shuffle.

Bought one 2 weeks ago (early Nov) and used it while camping. Used a 9-volt plug adapter to 110V and it worked great in the travel trailer. Sounds nice, works well, and would recommend given how inexpensive it is and my use.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this mini speaker system. I was quite surprised (nicely) by the sound. Having a choice between battery and AC connection is a nice addition. If you are looking for room-filling, bass thumping sound, this is the wrong system, however, if you are looking for a portable to be able to take your music anywhere, the value is tremendous. It’s also designed extremely well.
Doesn’t Charge the Shuffle as stated

Am I the only one having this problem? Purchased it instead of looking for a charger to replace my broken one. Every thing written about this unit says it will charge the shuffle, but it doesn’t. I even pulled out the usb adapter and plugged it right into my pc and it still wouldn’t charge it.
Read thru the manual and it didn’t mention anything about charging the shuffle, it just says that in the description of the item everywhere it is sold. So people, if it does charge it, what am i doing wrong?

This portable speaker system allows others to listen to the music on my iPod, I use it alot in the kitchen when I am cooking dinner so I can hear the telephone if it rings. It is compact and keeps the iPod fully charge. The speakers are not the best, but they are passable.
I would certainly buy it again.

I took this on a deployment with me to the Middle East. It is one tough set up! The hard shell case is awesome. The power is dual, both battery and outlet, which was great when I want to take my music with me. This is not limited to the shuffle, it can also receive input from other mp3 players, due to the additional cable. Down side – sound doesnt travel in open spaces. I wouldnt recommend it for a block party. It is great for a trip to the beach or a picnic though!
