Just got this today. Seems like it will work but it is not as large as I expected. I have somewhere between 18 and 19 inch biceps and it just fits if I have it at the maximum size. There is no room for anything larger than that. Otherwise, it seems fine.

Simple concept, but it works perfectly. My Nano stays secured to my arm, and the buttons are easily accessible. The only thing is that the band is quite long– at its tightest setting, it just fits my arm. I’d say I have average-sized upper arms for a woman; if you’ve got skinny arms, you could probably use a safety pin to pin out the excess and make it small enough.

This skin & armband is quite useful for a run with the iPOD nano 4th generation. It is easy to put with one hand, it stays in place, and it is quite comfortable. The controls of the iPOD are very accesible with the exception of the “lock” button but I rarely use the lock function on the iPOD. I run with it 4 times a week, have been using it for several weeks and have no complaints whatsoever.

This thing is great. It keeps the iPod on my arm, without cutting off my circulation. The iPod stays dry and tightly held within the silicone case. The strap is easy to get on and off my arm, as well as on and off the actual iPod. I found the screen protector easy to apply and I was impressed at how easy it was to get the iPod in and out of the case, yet it still feels secure while it’s in there. I wish the opening for the hold button was a bit bigger, but it’s not that bad either. Plus, for the price, you really can’t beat it.

I have owned 5 different iPod models over the years. The Nano is by far my favorite, but I have had trouble getting a armband that would fit well as well as allow you to see the screen if you were viewing a video.
One versions had a band that was not elastic enough and when I worked out, it would skip songs, turn it off, etc. It also covered the screen. The last one I had did not hold the Nano well so when I went running, it would occasionally fall out of the case. Several times I almost broke the iPod as a result of this flaw.
This ones holds the iPod securely, the band is a great fit and elastic, you can easily see the screen and my iPod has never come close to falling out, even after some serious running with heavy sweet.
It is by far the best Nano armband I have experienced and I bet it is is also the best option out there sine I have spent a long time looking and trying various options.

The Grantwood Technology TuneBand is rated with 5 stars for good reason. The TuneBand is quite likely the best armband on the market. The quality and color options are excellent, along with the elastic band being adjustable to fit smaller-sized arms like those on petite women. Not all armbands on the market can boast this feature. I cannot say enough good things about Grantwood Technology’s customer service, either. The staff went above and beyond with helping me out on a post-order, pre-shipment color-selection change. This ipod armband is very convenient, but not very sturdy. It ripped after the first 4 times wearing it. My suggestion is to leave it in the silicone sleave it is easier that way.

Great little product. It’s light weight, snugs the IPOD well, doesnt come loose when worn and is comfortable to wear. I had trouble with getting the clear protector for the screen off and placed on my IPOD, so I tossed it.

I bought this armband for my wife and it fits the iPod 3G nano very well. However she has smaller arms and the band will not fit her arm very well. This isn’t a big deal for us because we will just cut the band and sew on a new piece of Velcro. Other than that it is a great product.

I bought this item due to the great price and customer reviews. The armband and the “Podcast for Runners” program keep me motivated to jog/walk. I used to carry my Nano in hand and noticed that swinging my arms while walking created static sounds that interfered with my music/podcasts. No more! After so-so experiences with several other armbands, I decided to give this one a try. Simply put: it is an excellent product. Given the design, it is extremely flexible. You can can put the closure at any point around your arm and wear the iPod “normal” or “inverted”. Further, the armband is very comfortable. As a bonus, the iPod can be docked without removing from the skin and/or armband.
I use it with the Nike+iPod receiver without problem and the click wheel is very easy to use on the run (much easier than many competing products).

Love this ipod nano sport armband holder. Allows me to jog hands free, but I can still easily change playlists etc. Holds ipod very securely in place… no need to worry about it falling out. I did not use the clear protective thingy… obscured the view of my ipod screen, making it difficult to see in the sunshine.

I love the feel of the materials used. My only problem with the band is that it just barely fits my upper arm. I don’t think I have huge arms, which means this would not fit anyone with arms bigger than 16″ around. Other than that, great product.

I have two Grantwood Technology tunebands for my two ipod nanos (3rd generation and 4th generation). I work out at the gym 4-5 times per week and I sweat quite heavily during the workouts and running sessions. I have owned my tuneband for the 3rd generation ipod nano for about 14 months and I have had the 4th gen. ipod nano for about 4-5 weeks. Both function very well for their intended purpose. I adjust the velcro strap everytime I use my ipod and I have not noticed the velcro losing the “tackiness” or the band fit losing overall integrity. I have honestly been quite surprised at how well my first tuneband has held up over the year, since I use it so often and I perspire on the armband during my workouts. I have even washed the strap and it still is holding up quite nicely. The strap is quite long, so I don’t think most people will find that the fit is too snug or too big; it adjusts quite nicely to all arm sizes. I think the product is an excellent buy for the price. I have owned another brand of ipod holder and I was disappointed with product after a couple of months, but this product has worked very well for me. The fit, comfort, functionality and durability of this product are really great and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an ipod holder to use for fitness and other sporting activities because it serves its purpose very well.

I bought this band and the Belkin at the same time because my original Apple-brand armband that I purchased with my Nano degraded and fell apart. The Apple armband had issues staying velcro’d, so I picked what I thought were the two best options out there to try. The Belkin is a nice product, but it’s rather small (I’m 6′0″, 162lbs…wouldn’t say that I’m abnormally large), and the neoprene doesn’t stretch. It also absorbs moisture which means after a 10k run, my iPod is wet.
As for the Tuneband, it’s terrific! The band is not huge, but the elastic is stretchy (meaning the iPod stays in place without cutting off circulation to the rest of your arm). I was a little skeptical about the silicone case, but it holds the iPod securely, and provides a nice cushion in the event that you drop your iPod. There’s no issue with working the controls–they’re readily accessible–and you can sync your iPod without removing it from the case.
In summary, when comparing the Apple brand armband, the Belkin and the Tuneband, the Tuneband is by far the best bet!
Great armband for nano/Nike+ combo

I’ve recently purchased Grantwood’s armband and think it’s great. I had been using the Nike+ system with Nike’s armband but my nano got wet from condensation and/or sweat each time. It even froze up on me!! That was enough. Since I’ve been using the silicone shell from Grantwood, I no longer have a problem. The armband is comfortable, the nano is secure while running and there is an open slot for the Nike chip. Finally, and most importantly, my nano is no longer wet after a run. It can “breathe” and stay dry certainly decreasing the chance for the product to malfunction. Great product at an even better price at less than half what you’d pay for the Nike armband!

I loved the first one I bought, then lost the armband somehow, never should have even taken it off my ipod.
Couldn’t find anyplace to order for just the armband with out the skin.
Asked them through the Tuneband website and within about 15 minutes got a response and got a new armband ordered for $6 and it’s shipping next day.
I’m not even going to try to find a new company to use for products that they supply.

I bought this product after purchasing another armband from Nike that I was very unhappy with. This is a great arm band that works well with the Nike +. I have rather small arms and have no problem with it fitting snugly around my arm. Its easy to operate while running and there is never a fear of my ipod slipping out of it. I would highly recommend this item for anyone that needs a good armband to hold their ipod while running or walking for that matter.

This product is perfect not only for use when working out, but also for the protection of my ipod. When the arm band is not in use, I leave on the plastic jacket to prevent scratches on the device and just hoop it back through the arm band when needed. Really, it is the best bet out there for your money, as it has two-in-one uses. I have rather thin arms and it fits perfectly, and adjusts with enough space for others with larger arms. It really is so simple yet ideal for these uses.

Grantwood Technology rocks! When I received my armband, I accidentally threw away the laminate protector with the packaging materials (Hint: don’t do this). I wore the armband without protection for a week or so before I got rained on, and was afraid to do it anymore. I initially came to Amazon to write a poor review, and then I discovered my error.
Thinking I would have to buy a whole new armband, I wrote Grantwood explaining the situation, and one of their reps – Christina, got back to me in just a couple of hours. She said she would ship new laminate covers the next day, and that they wouldn’t charge me a dime!
I was so taken back! Grantwood has great customer service, speedy delivery, and the Tuneband is a great little product. Do not be afraid to deal with these guys. The product is fantastic, and you won’t find a better company online.

I was thrilled to receive by Tuneband yesterday and couldn’t wait to try it. It is perfect with my Ipod Nano. The Ipod stayed in place perfectly while I was running on my treadmill and it’s really comfortable. I also loved the fact that I could order a pink one to match my pink Nano!!!

I was looking for something to make my Nano a bit less delicate, since I’m using it in conjunction with the Nike+. This skin in perfect; it reflect the color of my Nano and is a rubbery texture which makes it easier to grip. The arm band is great, although I suggest putting the Ipod on your arm upside down so that it is easier to see while you’re wearing it.

Doesn’t slip, stays comfortably on my arm, and the silicon skin is good even when it’s not on my arm (connected to the band). The screen protector is a pain in the butt to put on without getting finger prints on it, but otherwise this was a good purchase.

This is a great product. I wanted something similar to my Belkin armband that I had for my 2nd generation iPod. Unfortunately, Belkin has changed the design and I didn’t like the new version. I looked for awhile to find something similar and this fits the bill perfectly. The armband is flexible and would fit most arm circumferences. The silicone fits like a glove over the iPod and protects it nicely. You can remove the armband and still have the silicone sleeve on if you want to carry the iPod around. It comes with a sheet of protective “screen saver” material. You can then cut it to fit which portion (or all of) the iPod you want to cover. There are several patterns to follow, based on how much you want. I would highly recommend this if you want to wear your iPod on your arm while exercising.

This thing works great at the gym. The armband is stretchy so even when lifting weights or running it stays snug. My only complaint is that I like the case part and it’s pretty low tech how the band just goes through two holes in the back of the case. It’s really not a big deal and should by no means stop you from buying this. The case protects well from moisture and the armband is washable.

The skin is unobtrusive and form-fitting, but can sometimes get in the way of the earphone connection. This is a very minor problem, and once you notice it, it’s easy to avoid. The armband is relatively comfortable. The only difficulty I run into is getting the iPod on and off the band. It is not difficult per se, but it feels like, if you’re going to remove the band and re-insert it frequently, it will eventually rip the skin. Not a problem if you always leave it on the arm band, but I find that I’m removing it often. NOTE: after a month, I haven’t noticed any visible wear on the skin where the band goes in and out. So maybe it is sturdy enough to take it over the long haul and this won’t be a problem.

Love the armband. It is exactly as advertised. The armband is easy to adjust to fit your arm as it is a stretchy band with an adjustable velcro strip. The first time I used it, I had it on pretty tight to make sure it wouldn’t slip, but, during the run (without stopping) I loosened the strap. Even looser, the Ipod did not slip on my arm and it was easy to adjust while running. And the silicone cover keeps the Ipod from getting sweaty. The turquoise cover doesn’t exactly match the gorgeous color of my Ipod – but it’s close enough. A fabulous value- highly recommended.

I’ve had other Apple armbands but didn’t work -or at least for long; I’ve had this for quite some time and under intensive use and worked perfect. This one provides everything from the protective silicon case which still allows you good access to the control wheel and clear view of the screen. The armband itself is elastic enough to keep the iPod in place without strangling your arm; you hardly notice it! Elastic armband is not affected by the velcro even after loads of use. Elastic armband is also easy to remove is you are only carrying the iPod and case. Whole setup is ideal if you are sweating -it does not affect it at all even in the peak of summer here in the Middle East and it even keeps it dry! The case allows easy connection to docking stations (e.g. Bose); no need to remove iPod from the protective case. I would definetively recommend it!

Perfect!!! I had tried the Nike armband and it made it very difficult to use the buttons on the Nano. In addition, it was not very comfortable. The Tuneband by Grantwood was comfortable, very easy to use, much less expensive, and protects the Nano perfectly. I have used many armbands for different products in the past and none have been more perfect for not only running but for workouts as well.

perfect if you’re a Nike+ runner

This product will hold your nano securely; the silicone skin both holds the nano in place, works with the Nike+ adapter, and protects it from sweat. The bulkier “full enclosures” look slick, but I noticed (and this ain’t pretty) they wicked sweat to where the ipod is. A soggy nano is not a happy nano.
If I were to make one gripe, it would be that the armband is too small, but I can’t take a star away because of that.
I have a 4G nano, and I’ve found that the best way to wear this thing is on my left inner forearm(I’m right handed), upside down. Upside down, I snake the headphones up through my sleeve to the collar of my shirt. Also, while running, I can switch songs and change volume on the fly. it works for me.
Bottom line, I’m a Nike+ runner, and it works for me in every way that matters.

Of the several arm-mount i-pod carriers I bought, this has been the most useful. The elastic band provides an anchor for the earphone cord’s coiled-up extra length, and the player’s controls remain accessible. My only negative is that the velcro strap fastener is very stubborn to one-handed opening after the player is in place on my upper arm. I’ll keep this one.

Initially, I purchased the Nike+ (plus) armband. I thought it was really nice looking and would be the best I could buy. Well, it was small and when I ran, the sweat would get inside the plastic sleeve and fog up the inside of my Nano. I threw that in the trash and bought this little guy. It is really nice. Not the best looking. But it is the very best quality and it performs the best. My 12 y/o daughter can wear it and I can too. She is really thin and I’m not a huge guy. But I am 6′2″ and 210lbs. and the band still has a way to go before it is out of material. I will definitely buy another before I head off to Iraq again…

The only thing is that the band is a little big so I have to wrap the band over the ipod to secure it with the velcro on the other side. I have used many Ipod armbands and none have been able to completely satisfy me. The Tuneband on the other had it by the the best Ipod armband I have ever used. It does not loosen up and doesn’t move once you put it on. I recommend this to ANYONE needing and Ipod armband.

I love this arm band while I am working out on the treadmill. It stays in place. I think it is one of the best products on the market and definitely the best value. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a skin for their ipod. Also, once you get it on, don’t try to remove it, it really isn’t made to be taken on and off. I tore mine, but the company sent me a replacement for free even though it was my fault.

Elegant in its simplicity

I looked at several different style arm bands before trying this (in fact I bought another one first) and this is one of the very few that allows for easy access to the click wheel… the plastic cover on most cases makes this difficult to impossible. It fits well, although I took a star for build quality – the band seems like it will lose elasticity quickly, hopefully I’m wrong. Regardless, this was pretty much the only choice if I wanted to be able to reliably change the volume.
EDIT: It has been over a month now and the band is still good as new. Color me surprised. So yeah… can’t really think of anything I dislike about the product now. I’d give this five stars now if I could figure out how…
