DLO Jacket
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Works as expected. Provides good protection for the iPod while allowing access to clickwheel and video/audio port. Access to the dock connector is sometimes a little cumbersome – need to make sure connection is secure. I have not used the belt clip – it looks a little fragile to support an expensive iPod Classic. The armband works great.
May work, but not for me….
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I was thrilled to have found this case that includes the armband and the belt clip as well as protection for the iPod. Having had it for a day the thrill is gone; uncomfortable, difficult to opperate while case is on, belt clip is huge and it separates the iPod about an inch from you. It makes you look funny. Nevertheless, I may have considered keeping it if it weren’t because of the useless piece of rubber at the bottom which keeps me from using my iPod in my car dock with the case on. Very dissapointed. Go for something else.
great product

This iPod jacket is great. I’ve had others and they are not as snug and the best thing is the clip on the back that keeps my iPod from falling out of my pocket or getting loose from my belt loop. I can walk or run or get in and out of the car repeatedly and the clip NEVER falters. Good value for the price.
ipod armband,case,clip

the case part is fine the ipod fits snug inside, the cutout hole makes the wheel function well. but the clip part has a push button on top of the clip which releases the clip from the ipod it is easily pushed down by accident and detaching the clip which in turn makes the ipod in danger of falling off by accident. the armband part is not wide enough or strong enough to hold the ipod (160gb classic) up staight it falls forward which causes the bottom of the ipod to dig into your arm. hope this helps.
Fine for the price

I liked the fact that it has the armband (which is a little clumsy) and a belt clip, which i found I prefer. Good for the price.
Great for running and the gym

I use it 4x a week and it holds tight even though I wear it on my wrist.
Does what it should but not with finesse

The main positive to this armband is that you can find it at Best Buy and it has an armband. So when I needed an armband right away this one was easy to find. At Best Buy it is $30, so I am feeling a bit ripped off when I see the price here.
Positive:
- It has an armband which is pretty easy to put on/take off.
- Comes with a belt clip
- Is easy to get ipod in and out of the case.
- The neoprene case protects the ipod well
- There is clear plastic over the screen as part of the case, so I like that better than a screen protector that you adhere to the screen.
Negative:
- The armband was too big for my upper arm. It is always little bit loose. I don’t have super skinny arms so if you are a woman beware this may not fit you well.
- It is kind of bulky. It makes the ipod almost twice as thick as normal.
- You can’t take off the knob the belt clip attaches to, so if you want to slip it in your pocket that knob will get stuck on things.
- You have to remove the case to dock your ipod; not a huge deal for me but kind of annoying.
This armband does basically what it should, just not well. Overall it is an okay armband, but I will definitely look around more the next time I buy one of these.
overpriced piece of s***

the plastic/rubber stuff on the side is splitting open and i noticed after continued use there is a bunch of sticky gunk on my ipod which I can only assume came from whatever synthetic material lines the side of this case…what a mess! not cool considering i paid something like $25 for this! get something else…anything else would be my suggestion.
Does what I expected and required of it.

People seem to be very critical of these armbands. I did quite a bit of research with product reviews both professional and amateur before finally deciding to purchase this product for my wife for her to use with her iPod classic 80GB at the gym.
The Action Jacket accomplishes everything that was required — to hold the ipod while working out, allow access to easily control the ipod and also allow to be plugged into a dock connector without removal from the case. The additional requirements were that it was to be comfortable and last a reasonable amount of time.
The iPod is easily placed-into and removed from the action jacket. It’s secured by a simple velcro tag at the top. As a sign of good design, the soft part of the velcro is the part that touches the skin, so you don’t have to worry about chaffing when running on the treadmill or something like that.
In addition, the bottom of the jacket has a reinforced opening for the ipod dock connector. It may require some finger nails to get at the buttons on the dock connector when removing it, however. But it’s hardly an issue.
The jacket secures itself in one of two ways — an elastic strap that runs through nylon “buckles” on the back of the jacket which secures via velcro to your arm (one size fits all) or a plastic belt clip that secures via a plastic nubbin on the back of the jacket. To use the belt clip, you have to remove the elastic strap as it covers the plastic nubbin which the clip attaches to. The strap-covered-nubbin is actually an important thing as well, as it protects your arm from the nubbin itself when using the elastic strap.
The jacket itself allows you to easily access the iPod control wheel. It’s an open hole so there’s no need to worry about that. I’m not sure what other reviewers are talking about a piece of plastic. There is no plastic there (maybe on an older version). If there was, you could easily remove it with a pair of scissors.
That’s about it. If you’re looking for something to provide protection for your iPod, this may not be the optimal solution though there is a decent amount of padding in the jacket.
People seem to expect too much when it comes to these jackets. I find the Action Jacket meets all expectations.
decent enough

this comes with an interchangeable belt attachment and armband – both of which are fairly sturdy. the case is pretty ugly compared to some of those silicon covers, but you do get an armband with this one. the construction doesn’t seem to be top-notch, as there is fraying of material around the opening for the touch-pad. it doesn’t appear that this will eventually lead to the case falling apart, but it just doesn’t look as sleek as an ipod, which is one of the reasons you bought an ipod, right?
another drawback is the screen: it’s clear plastic, but it’s really cheap clear plastic. the density of the plastic isn’t completely uniform, so it’s more opaque in areas — while barely noticeable, it still irritated me at first, but i eventually got over it. decent product especially if you like to be active while listening to your jams.
Great Durable case
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve had one of these for three years. I love it. I can’t use my dock with it though. It looks a bit worn and torn, and it might not be the prettiest solution for your iPod case. But It can withstand droppings and such with no problem.
Basic, Simple, & Light
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I don’t know what other people were looking for in an Ipod case, but I am of the opinion that simpler is better.
This little case was just what I was looking for in a lightweight and durable armband Ipod holder. I am a big jogger and hiker and I was looking for something that I could strap on and forget about. This little case gets the job done.
It is extremely lightweight, and the adjustable arm strap can fit huge arms as well as smaller arms. When comparing it to the more “bulky” armbands I have used in the past I notice the armband doesn’t get as HOT (or sweaty) as other arm bands.
In my opinion its a great small and inexpensive option to the more expensive brands out there. While I don’t suppose it would stand up to any “torture tests” (i.e., don’t expect it to protect your iPod from a 2 story fall) I would recommend it to anyone who needs a no fuss moderately priced protective sleeve, and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lightweight armband for running/working out.
Good case but had a defect
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I really like the DLO iPod holders. I have had two different ones for two diff iPods. The neoprene case on my first iPod save it when I dropped it two times in a couple of years.
This one I bought is still nice, but the plastic circle that holds onto the belt clip broke. It barely pulled against my seatbelt in the car and popped off. Looks like it was a weak part in the plastic. Probally a rare defect.
Still using the case to protect my iPod and put it in my jacket pocket. Still can use the armband too
Very pleased with this case
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The best part about this case, in my opinion, is the fact that the velcro flap at the top ensures that the iPod won’t fall out of it, which is especially important to me since I wear mine to run. The belt clip leaves a little to be desired – it seems a bit unstable, since it rotates 360 degrees, but since I use the armband, not the belt clip, to run, it’s not a big deal. I also like the fact that the case is padded a little bit, so I don’t worry too much about dropping my iPod, and the case is sleek enough that it doesn’t take up too much room when I carry it in my purse. The only problem I’ve had is that it’s hard to control the Hold button when the iPod is in the case, so I just undo the velcro flap at the top when I need to use the Hold button.

I got this with my new Ipod Classic – The plastic over the click wheel is so thick that you are not able to adjust the volume if the case is on. You are able to click on the menu and ff and rr buttons fine but if you want to adjust the volume you need to take the Ipod out of this case and do so. If you don’t care about adjusting volume then its probably ok for you. But I am returning it!
This is a great holder.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This holder comes with a clip as well as an armband. Both of which connect to the same holder that the Apple Ipod goes into. The jacket itself is has rubber on the outside so it is very durable and grippy. Overall, This jacket is perfect for those that workout and also walk to work because you can put the clip on your hip and the jacket slides right into the clip for easy access to the control pad.
Ugly, and unelegant solution
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my 160 GB iPod Classic, opened the box, took one look a the construction and solution, and re-packaged it to return. Horribly shoddy. To attach the armbelt, you have to remove the iPod as there’s no slack in the through-straps with the iPod in the case. Not impressed. Go for something else.
Owned an older one
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I owned one of these for four years with the 5th generation Ipod. I bought the ipod, 2 weeks after it was released, and for nearly 4 years, it kept it in pristine condition. I dropped it several times, and never once did the ipod suffer damage.
Then when I took up weight lifting, the clip was a major blessing. I never enjoyed listening to music while running, so I can’t give a rating on the armband, but the quality of the product was supreme. I hit it several times with 45lb weights, and still the ipod worked.
I spent a almost 90% of my old ipods life living in Florida and Arizona, both very hot states. Still, despite the case being black, the ipod ran well after being in the car for 12 hours at a time on hot days.
Why did I finally have to get rid of it? Well, the AUX on my 30gig Ipod finally wore out, and the case had seen much better days. But it served faithfully until the end, and I look forward to buying a new one.
