Not only is this iPod small and adorable, I love everything about it!!!

After reading many many reviews on the newest iPods, the 4th Gen Nanos – they really got mostly bad reviews. Plus I work with someone who bought one (she loved the purple) and had trouble with it the first week she had it – something about the stupid “Shake to Shuffle” – it was not consistent, either the slightest stir changed the song on her, or else she had to shake it really hard to change song. She really didn’t want to take it back basically because she loved the Purple color! But on my convincing her that my 3rd Gen Nano was the best way to go, she took my advice – took it back to where she bought it, and came on Amazon to buy a Pink 3G nano (the store did not sell 3G’s anymore!) Shame, since the 3 G’s are far superior to the new 4th Gen ones.

Go with this product – you will be so happy you did (or wait until Apple comes out with a 5G!)

I used the amazon.com with audible.com special to get 100 dollars off (when they were still in amazon’s stock and going for 125 dollars) and so only paid 25 dollars for this ipod nano.

It’s a really great little ipod, I’ve gotta say. I’ve always been an ipod classic person, but after messing up my classics multiple times from jogging with them, I decided to get a flash-drive based ipod for that and keep my classic (hard-drive based) for storage at home and long trips.

The iPod Nano (8gb) has good battery life, even by my ipod classic standards. I got a really cheap case that covers its screen and protects it well, and for being so thin it has an odd sturdiness to it.

I was afraid 8gb would bug me as too small, but for walking it’s a perfect amount of space for my walking playlists.

I definitely recommend this as a first or extra ipod.

This is the second Ipod I have bought, and overall it works fine – easy to sync, holds plenty of tunes. Have had it freeze up on me twice. I just let the battery die and then re-synch – came back fine.

I purchased the 4 GB version for my Wife. She loved it! It’s very simple to operate. For the average user 4 GB is plenty of room for all your favorite songs. Based on her usage so far I think it will easily hold 750-800 songs. However if you download video then it will use the memory much faster.

Unit has problem of freezing up from time to time. This problem can be quickly resolved by using the reset option to reboot the device. Simply hold the middle button and the top menu button and your ipod will reset.

I have been very happy with this purchase so far. It is actually for my daughter and she is thrilled. It works great and is easy to recharge with the computer or with a wall charger. She has it with her all the time and hasn’t had any complaints about any aspect of it. This is the way to buy it, through Amazon, as you save some money and can still get the older version which is more versitile and user friendly than the newer ones. Awesome deal too!

When this was shipped to me I was given the 4th generation iPod instead of the third generation that I ordered and wanted. I had no problems getting in contact with someone and all of my emails were replyed to immediately. I decided to just return the iPod and get a refund. They paid for return shipping and once the information was recieved they promptly returned my money.

I’ve had my iPod nano – 4GB for nearly a year. It was a Christmas gift. It’s a nice little device. I have about 3.2GB of music stored on it and I use it nearly daily at work. I plug it up to my XP box at work and listen to my music all day while I work. My experience with this device has not been with out incident. I have had to restore it twice due to lock-up issues. It has lost all or part of the content on 3 separate occasions. I don’t ever want to hear some MAC head tell me how good Apple products are. I’ve had XP running on my PC since it was originally introduced. I’ve had the iPOD for only 11 months. I’ve actually had more trouble with the iPOD in 11 months than I’ve had with my PC in 6 years (which included a system upgrade). You have to have iTunes to use the iPOD. You have to “Authorize” your PC before you can play any purchased music from the iTunes store. You can’t transfer the music to the iPod until the PC is Authorized either. It’s a simple step, true, but still annoying. But you are not limited to having to purchase music from iTunes. I download MP3s from Amazon. iTunes pick those up immediately and there is no need to “Authorize”. Same goes for ripped CDs. My massive MP3/WMA library was also imported to iTUnes upon installation. The WMA files were converted to M4A format and stored separately for iTunes. So needles to say, I have music tracks now existing as WMA and M4A. M4A is MPEG4 and is not recognized by Windows Media Player, yet. iTunes does not come with the iPod, you must go to Apple.com, register the iPod, then download iTunes.The only things that come with the iPod are the earbuds, the USB cable and a little instruction sheet that directs you to Apple.com.

The 3rd generation Nano is difficult to find, but don’t pay 250$ for a “new” one. I just recently purchased one to replace mine, because I love the style of the 3rd generation. I bought one at the Apple website – it has a new hard-drive, exterior, and most importantly is covered under Apple’s 1 year coverage. Definitely worth the $99 I spent.

I’m reviewing this only in terms of comparison to the other generations of iPod nanos. If you’re buying an iPod, you probably already know what you’re in for in terms of UI, design quality, etc. My complaint is in the switch from the long body to the short stubby version. I’m a guy and I have guy hands and this form factor is difficult to use compared to the old and new generations. I can’t hold it in one hand and use my thumb to control it, which is very important to me and I had become used to it with other Nanos.

So if you want the smallest Nano possible, I suppose this is the one. Otherwise, I suggest buying the 4th generation version where they wisely reverted to the design that everyone knows and loves.

I wrote to the company three differant times because the ipod Nano came without a power cord. I wanted to return it and get another one. I got absolutely NO response. I contacted Amazon and they saw my emails and told me to wait and they would take it from there. I have heard nothing since my call to Amazon almost a week ago. I will never buy from Amazon again unless this is cleared up in our favor. It is very confusing the process to return an item. My son got this item for his birthday, May 16 and has yet been able to use it.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He’s training for a marathon, and he’s making use of the Nike website for runners–tracking his runs on his iPod. He was using a 2nd gen Nano, but he needed a newer one with more memory. He also didn’t like the long, thin shape of the old Nano, which is similar to the shape of the newest Nano (4th gen). We were both happy to discover that we could still buy a new 3rd gen Nano through Amazon.

I think Apple needs to reconsider the size and shape of the iPod Nano when designing the next generation. The square 3rd gen fits more easily into pockets, armbands, etc. for people who use their iPods during athletic conditioning.

This thing is awesome. I have the 80GB classic and i like this one much better. The click wheel is very responsive and the shape and size is perfect for what i use it for (in my car using FM transmitter). In fact, the wireless FM transmitter works even better on the Nano than on my 80GB classic.

IMO, the 4G Nano was oddly shaped and has useless features like the “shake” shuffle or the accelerometer which got alot of complaints. The 4G looks more like the successor to the 2G nano in terms of size and shape.

Get the 3G Nano while supplies last or you’ll be paying a higher price for these later (black Nano @ $199).

I received a 3rd gen nano as a gift several months ago. Shortly after that, the 4th gen nano was released. When I decided to buy a nano for a friend, I read reviews of the 4th gen and decided to buy the 3rd gen nano. I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS and would highly recommend this product even though there’s a newer version available. There are complaints about the functioning of the 4th gen nano!

First bought this one back in 2007 it was my first mp3 player.

its fantastic! the audio is top notch, love the small portability factor (my friend has a older ipod that thing is like a brick!)

the scrolling wheel cant be beat.. easy access to music and videos.

i also have an ipod touch..which is nice and all but i perfer the size and shape of the nano…

this one is with me all the time…working out, walking, also got an adaptor for it so my tracks can go with me in my car…my friend recently got a zune and he hates it…he returned it and got an ipod after seeing mine.

Before the ipod, i wasnt a apple fan..Im a pc user not a mac fan. but, for music players im a Ipod fan.

bottom line, if you want a great mp3 player thats reasonable priced, easy to download and sync with itunes etc you cant go wrong with the ipod nano. its money well spent! speaking of prices…i got mine at wal mart for 40.00 dollars less than what amazon is charging it pays to do a little searching..

this product is so small you can carry it in your wallet! It has so many functions built into it i.e. setting the screen to turn off after two seconds or less to save battery. It has podcast and voice record capability. If you’re on a budget this product is for you.

3G Nano is very light

This 3rd generation was a huge improvement in weight over my older photo iPod. But the light weight could also sometimes be a little frustrating. If I had it sitting on my desk at work and quickly turned around, I’d pull it off my desk and it would bounce to the ground. My older iPod brick would offer resistance and I’d stop before it would go flying.

I’m not crazy about the cover flow option, as the art work is often wrong of missing. Volume isn’t as consistent as it was on my older unit. It’s either low, or really, really loud. I’ve tried a number of settings to adjust this, and it never seems to get any better.

The iPod nano is the best device ever made in human history. It is so small yet provides so much entertainment. You can watch movies, TV shows, enjoy your favorite tunes, or even reminisce while looking at photos of your cat that died a couple of years ago from leukemia (which, by the way, is mostly preventable with a vaccine). You could be in the squalor of a jail in Istanbul, but if you have your iPod you’d be perfectly content. So, in summary, if you are going out of the country and there is even a slight chance that you might be locked up while abroad, you should be sure to take an iPod nano with you. It could save your sanity, if not your life.

This is my first Apple Product and I am quite impressed with the Nano 3G. I was a little apprehensive about the color of the iPod and ordered a sticker/cover for it. But, when the product arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that the color was quite similar to the signature color of Korean Air. Its a cool shade thats between blue and green. The product photo isn’t a fair representation. Overall, a good experience.

I think i’m daring to rate it 3. You know the craze it has now is making me to think to rate it 3. I feel it’s not that easy to use (transfer the files) this. you must have a computer or laptop (Or at least a friend having it). The sound it produces with the ear phones give is not that great; there are other mp3 players which can give you better sound like Sony. Sandisk – same sound but cheap. Trekstor – Better sound and much cheap. Video quality is some what better than other mp3 players. Overally it’s a good product but costly.

I love this new ipod. I got it about a year ago and i listen to it every day. I love hip-hop and rap music and i have allot so i needed all of the room this has. It stores exellent videos and pictures. Even for a 4 gig it has allot of room. I have a over 1 hour video, music video, and over 400 songs and i still have about a fourth of the room left. The things that i do not care for is the key pad it sticks and the shape of it is not as handy as the new one and the old one. One thing i hate about it is that it freezes quite frequently and then u have to wait untill it runs out to charge it again. I love the new big square screen and u can see the album artwork muc better. U can also veiw the name of the song and the artist on the menu. It has much better games and fun games that u can buy for it. I also love the search menu that allows u to search for any song or artist that is on the ipod. My favorite game is i quiz, it quizes u over ur music,music in general,ur movies and other movies in general. This is a great ipod.

Great Product- But Sansa Gives it a Run for Its Money

I bought this for my daughter a year ago and she just adores it. She does not leave the house without it. She has used it constantly every day since Christmas of last year. The screen is a nice size, much better than the Nano 4th generation and the sound is excellent. I especially like the fact it brings up the album pictures to go with the song. The wheel is a very cool feature and allows you to navigate through the menu very quickly.

The Cons are:

*no ability to upgrade memory

*battery is not replaceable, as far as I know

*the price

I bought a Sansa for myself, and although the screen is smaller on my particular model, the ability to upgrade, change out a dead battery and pay 1/3 the price made the Sansa very attractive. I have used my Sansa for a year now and have been so pleased I bought the newer one with the larger screen. I still only paid $110 for both, as opposed to the $150 I paid for the Nano. The only reason I bought her the Nano and not the Sansa was because she asked for it for Christmas.

We were told on the original listing this Ipod was new. What we received was a refurbished Ipod without the Apple logo. Very disappointed. When we went back on to Amazon to look at the product again the listing had changed to a new Ipod that ran $350 vs. the listed “new” ipod for $135. It was an older model so the low price was not a tip off it was not new.

I bought this product for my husband for Christmas. He is very happy with the product. I have an old I-pod nano and like mine. The only problem I had with this was the shipping. The USPS is extremely slow. It took 1 day to get from PA to MA and then 7 more to get to Northern RI. I would prefer a quicker shipping method. Because of the shipping issue I refused to by anything close to Christmas in fear I would not receive it in time.

I love this little Nano.

I opted for the teal/blue color and it’s beautiful.

The screen quality is amazing, everytime I turn it on I am still in aww over how such a tiny picture can look so good.

The sound is also great, no complaints there either!

I have downloaded a few games to it and have really enjoyed them. It sure makes sitting in a waiting room a lot more fun.

I honestly don’t think I have a single “con” to post about this Nano, I LOVE it!

I was delighted to receive it as a christmas gift last year, but the joy didnt last long. I’ve so far wasted 30-40 hours surfing the web, trying to fix the random hardware problem that many other users have experienced.

The local apple store fixed it once for me, but it recurred after about 8 months, and now the apple staff say they’ll have to charge me a hefty fee for the service.

Of course I’m smarter this time, and decided to just dump this crummy gadget and get a Sony network walkman instead, which has worked beautifully. No more fiddling with itune, just drag and drop music files into the walkman and hit the play button.

Cant believe why so many people say such nice things about apple and its shoddy products here, maybe they have been hired by apple?

I loved my ipod nano since I got it, then one day I downloaded abot 300 songs on it, It crashed, froze, turned on and off excesively and then finally shut down, I have not been able to fix it since, So If your going to buy this ipod, just know not to download more than five songs at a time

Fun and Enjoyable but the click control is so sensitive ,i.e., When you have the ipod sitting in your pocket, the volume sometimes jumps back and forth and also the battery seems to run down quickly and it takes at least 3 hrs. to recharge. I got mine last Christmas and was so pumped about it. It’s a really good iPod if you like small & compact. The only problem I had with it was the screen so tiny, so watching videos can be a little odd. And when I need to update its software, I download it then it says it’ll come back on when it’s through uploading… but it just stays off. (This is still a problem I haven’t solved, so if someone has a solution-please share! :] ) That’s really the only major problem I’ve had w/ it. Mines the 4 GB and I still haven’t used up all the memory, which is good. Because the screen is the size it is i generally only use it for music, so it’s a pretty amazing little gadget overall. Oh! & the coverflow is a really cool little deal (in my opinion). lol that’s all.

I’m married and my wife just feel in love with the light blue I-pod (3rd generation). Unfortunately for waiting to long they came out with the new 4th generation I-pod (which by the way she hated) and finding the one she wanted was not easy. I was lucky enough to find it here and now she is happy, which means I’m happy. I can’t complain, it got here quick and its keeping her distracted.

Holds a ton of media. We are haveing trouble with it locking up when you dock it to the computer. But i did go through the reset program and we have tried it a couple of times after that and has not locked up. We are hopeing this fixed the problem.

Apple Nano 3rd – 3.8GB Could have more Capacity!

To start, I am generally happy with my purchase, Amazon rocks!

I’m happy because it was a X-mas present for a kid, and that I no longer have to touch that gizmo!

As for the Apple mania, it’s just as a mania as any other (i.e., break dancing, or hip-hop-Rap), hoping it would die sooner than later…

Apple reinvented itself at the end of last century by creating the most expensive goods, and not-so-good electronics.

In a parallel comparison line with Sony, they started to prove the world that “Expensive” does not necessarily mean “the best”, but just a myth…

Here are a few thoughts:

* Don’t ask for a gizmo $100 and over, and then cheat on memory (RAM is dirt cheap, Apple should indulge its fans with showers of extra RAM)…

* Fix your darn old and awkward iTunes and give up on DRM: Apple dear, you still don’t get it? China & India are after your tail, wake up!

* Give up on proprietary accessories, such as BATTERIES, and hundreds of gizmos nobody buys at your bank-breaking i-Shop!

I believe hundreds of thousand of people stay away from Apple because of iTunes and its proprietary stuff, while new standards emerge under universal & simplier file handling, with open-source & free firmware updates!

If you’re like me and always wanted an iPod, then this 8 GB nano delivers. The only setback would be the semi-regular crashes that occur. Within my first week of owning it, it crashed on me about 5 times. Since then, this has happened much less frequently, but it’s still not exactly surprising when it does happen. The good news, crashes are easily fixed with a few simple button presses to restart and no data is lost. The bad news, it is a little inconvenient and sort of a buzz kill after all the good things I’ve heard about this convenient little guy.

I’ve had this Ipod for a little while and it stopped working randomly. It will not play any songs. The Ipod thinks its playing them but when I plug in the headphones or into my ipod adapter in my car you can’t hear the songs. I would NOT recommend this Ipod at all.

I received this ipod nano 8 MG as a xmas gift last year from my husband. It is the perfect size for storage of music and my spanish lessons for exercising too. It is light and easy to carry. With the price they are now, I purchased 2 of them for my mother and her friend to use during their exercise routines also. I did purchase the Classic 160 MB for my husband as he had over 400 CD’s we have now consolidated to the Ipod Classic and now carry all our music as we travel and visit our vacation homes.

but this was my first iPod. The last time I had a portable music player, it was a walkman, with tapes, nothing so versatile and useful as this solid state beast. Every single aspect of this device is rugged and durable. I’ve dropped it numerous times, and it’s always fine. I thought I would have a problem with the headphone jack shorting out like the old walkman ports used to, but the jack has been rock solid.

As far as I am concerned, for people with minimalist music listening needs, this thing is perfectly engineered and practically qualifies as a spiritual protection device. This iPod has helped me to concentrate and to control my aural enviroment so many times in the past year that I consider it one of my prized posessions and one of the best “inner peace” purchases I have ever made. I would immediately replace it Next Day Air if I lost it, as it has almost certainly blocked out so many mundane conversations and distractions that I am probably twice as productive having owning it.

I do recommend replacing the stock “trendy” (are they really anymore?) junk iPod headphones with a pair of Etymotic ER6 (flat) or ER6i (bass boosted) canal phones. The sound quality has to be at least 33% improved from these alone.

This Ipod was a great choice for me. It did have just a little sign of wear, but it was in better shape than I expected. The one I had stolen was a 4 gig and this is by far a better choice since it holds twice the music. Especially since I got it cheaper than I did the 4 gig. Works great. Would buy another ipod product.

The iPod Nano 4gb was nice to have at first…but then it crashed several times then repeatedly deleted all my album artwork. iTunes was also a terrible dissapointment, it duplicated every song I had, deleted my album artwork just as the iPod did, and I found it to run terribly slow.

Interface: The user interface on the iPod seems clunky and awkward in comparison to the Zune. The clickwheel isn’t very responsive, and sometimes takes quite a bit of movement to respond.

Audio Quality: I was very suprised at how poor the sound quality was on this, I am able to play the same audio files with a generic mp3 player and it sounds better. I’m sorry Apple, but this is not acceptable.

Software: I thought iTunes was a nice music player, and I really like the way that it organizes all my music in nice neat folders . unfortunately I’ve had problems with the artwork as I mentioned before, and I also felt like the features weren’t very well organized, like they tried to cram too many things into the program.

Overall, I’m don’t think I’ll be buying Apple for some time. I’ll stick with a much more reliable product such as the Zune until Apple figures out all its major glitches.

This is the worst service i have received from this company ever. The screen to the ipod doesn’t work. There is a sticker on the back the is impossible to get off. And the buttons and everything is stikey, broken, or just a peace of crap. When looked at this produced on your website it said Apple ipod nano 8gb black IN GOOD CONDITION. Notice the capped words. If this is what you call good condition, go get your eyes checked out. no joke. This is one of the best products I’ve ever bought. I have had a sansa before and it SUCKS. The reason apple ipods are top sellers is because they put the best equipment in there. my 4 gb ipod had a 320×240 screen, and an incredible processor. Everything is so smooth. It is great looking at videos and photos, and music is a breeze (love the cover flow feature). All this in the thinnest electronic device I ever bought. My only complaint is when using the shuffle songs feature, I hear a lot of the same songs each time I do it, and it doesnt seem very random. Other than that, it is an incredible device. Go buy it.

I love this iPod, I would buy this over the 4th generation as I think the 4th gen has some problems. The 3rd gen seems to be a solid iPod. The 8GB’s is more than enough space, I already have well over 200 songs on it and it has barely put a dent in the space on the iPod. My only wish is that Amazon had this color in stock because I had to buy it from a different seller and it cost me more than $75 extra than the one I got for my wife that was from Amazon. Her’s is the same exact thing just in a different color and on Amazon it was free shipping and cost over $50 cheaper.

I would recommend this iPod to anyone over any other! Great quality, great sound, looks awesome, and you can carry all your music wherever you go!!!

This is my first iPod. I was one of those people that swore them off in the name of being different from all the kids walking around with ear buds on constantly. But eventually, the 8GB nano was given to me and it didn’t take long to grow on me. It is nice to use when at the gym on the stationary bikes or elliptical. I also use it at work since my computer can’t play audio. A docking station is also a nice complement to it to have at home.

I’ve noticed one flaw (in mine – not sure if it’s universal). Sometimes, inexplicably, the control circle will get extremely sensitive and the volume will go up and down for no reason. And of course it makes that annoying sound when the volume changes. Eventually the sensitivity goes away though. Doesn’t happan to often but it does.

The iPod has all sorts of features beyond audio but I haven’t used them yet. The only one I can conceive of using is photos.

Though I didn’t have to pay for mine, the price listed is steep for only 8 gigs. It did not take long for me to fill mine up and then have to start eliminating stuff when I wanted to add more. The price is high enough to where I’m not sure I would buy another one if my current one broke.

Overall, I have liked the product and it has been more to me than just a source of constant music to my ears. It is a great way to listen to audio books while doing things where reading is difficult. For instance at the gym or in the shower. I ‘read’ several more books a month just by virtue of having an iPod.

im new to the whole ipod thing…this is my first. i got a ‘factory serviced’ one (cheap) and i EFFIN looove it!

it showed up fast, had a slight dent in the back casing. but works great! (has since picked up a few more dents and chips as ive dropped it a few times…but still chugs along like new)

for all of us who remember ‘8track tapes’ (what were we on????) this is about the neetest thing in the world…music. podcasts. movies. tv shows. and more in the palm of your hand! wow!

mine is the 3rd gen 4gig model…and since i discovered you can watch movies and tv shows on it…im itchin for a model with more mem…but this is fine for now (picture is crystal clear and sound is awesome!)

I received the product rather quickly. The product itself doesn’t quite live up to my expectations. The touch pad isn’t very sensitive when trying to adjust the volume. Also, when I’m trying to return to menus, the menu button doesn’t always respond very quickly.

This was my first iPod and it really is a great versatile one as it can hold about 1000 songs and has reasonably long battery life. I upgraded to the 80GB version which has much longer battery life and considerably more storage space. Still, if you have limited needs for an iPod this one neatly fits the bill as it holds Podcasts, video and almost anything else you could want. The screen size isn’t that bad either and its small size is quite nice compared to the larger iPods. Plus the prices on these units used has dropped a LOT so why not start here?

Totally disappointed. The Nano doesn’t play FM without an extra accessory. The only way to load and manage music is by using the proprietary iTunes software, which forces you to register for the iTunes online store on installation. For the same price, the Sansa Fuze plays FM out of the box, has a memory expansion slot and supports Windows file system drag and drop for media management. I found the menu on the Sansa Fuze easier to use too.

I had tried an MP-3 player and was more steps than I could remember especilly for buying music from I-Tunes. One step and you’re done no CD buring needed unless you want to later. Also small enought for using just about anywhere with the type of case I have to use. Both Cell phone and I-POD fit,and when needed perscription bottle as well. No complaints from me.

They’re cute and although I wasn’t too happy with my first one because it died, I gave it another shot. I lost my cool inexpensive sanso and thought heck, maybe the first one was a fluke. Not so. My other one died today. Save yourself some cash. Get a cool Sansa one for way less money and then, if that one dies (which i don’t know if it will) you at least won’t feel stupid for spending a lot of money on a crappy electronic.

I’ve never had any problems with it, it scrolls while in my armband (the 4th gen I had didn’t – had to take it out everytime), carries a large battery life, and has ample space for songs. Like most Apple products, it works and is easy to use. I got it for my kids and of course they knew how it works without any instruction (even without any video game or cell phone experience).

The 3rd generation has locked up from time to time, some of the firmware updates have helped, and you just need to know the complete reset procedure.

I am not completely happy with Itunes. It has been difficult to organize my ripped files and if you delete some folders there is no way to get them back.

3rd Generation is better than 4th

I originally bought the new 4th generation Ipod and ended up returning it because it would not charge in my factory-installed ipod adapter (2008 Jetta). After talking to tech support, and doing some research online, I found out that the newer Apple products do not support fire-wire. This is why the 4th gen would not charge in my adapter. The 3rd gen charges in my car and has all the benefits of the 4th gen. I recommend the 3rd gen over the newer 4th.

I purchased this product for my son for Christmas, he turned the device on and back off that morning. The very next day we tried to download music, the screen was black. It never turned back on. we never got the chance to use the product. I am very upset and my son is extremely dissappointed. purchased this 8gb ipod nano in Nov 2007. A couple of months ago the device quit communicating via the usb cable. the device won’t reset. tried to get it repaired at apple store and online support to no avial and the device is out of warranty. apple store offered refurbished equivalent for $129 + tax. online offered support for $129 + tax and shipping. New 4th gen 8gb nano at costco is only $133. The original price for nano was about $200. That is about $130/year. the nano was purchased because it had no moving parts and therefore should be more reliable. It failed my reliability expectations.

This is my third I-pod. It is a fantastic value because it stores as much as the Classic that I purchased for about one-half the price. Each of my Ipods has different purposes. This model is the one that I keep in my car and take on trips. It is a back-up for the Classic. It is not as solid as the more expensive model which I keep at home attached to my sound system. There is a definite quality and feel difference among the models but the Nano is better for travel because it’s lighter, smaller and less expensive so I am less concerned about any damage that might occur. If you already have a Classic or more expensive Ipod, consider the Nano for back-up. If you want to have a quality MP3 player and have not invested yet in one, you will not get better value than with the Nano.

I purchased two of these iPods for my two kids and we are all very happy with them. Free shipping, great price, no complaints here. I put a mix of music, video, and pics on each one and both are completely consumed by it. It appears to be so small, but I’ve watched some of the video on there and it is better than one would think. For kids or adults, great item to use when killing time…specially for trips in the vehicle. Why spend big bucks on a built in DVD system? These things don’t require DVDs and each kid can watch their own show…worked out exactly as I had hoped.

The fourth generation I pods are elongated and thin, but not as cute to me as the older 3rd. generation players. I had my heart set on a pretty blue one( 3rd. generation ), but the store said “no longer available…gone !” I learned also that the third generation I pods are compatible with all my previous accessories (speakers, cables, etc.)but the fourth generation are not. Amazon to the rescue ! I bought an 8GB blue one and I love it ! My only concern is that the cable is a little hard to insert in the base and seems to be more delicate than on my older model. Other than that, it’s a gem !

The 3rd generation, silver iPod nano is a fabulous buy so I have purchased two of them.

They are as light as a feather so I carry one with me everywhere I go. When I’m asked to wait for an appointment or if I have to stand in a slow moving line, I plug into a good mystery and enjoy myself thanks to my traveling iPod nano library of audiobooks.

I ordered the Ipod nano for Christmas and instead received a 6 page cardboard children’s book. Because there is no phone number on the receipt (that stated Ipod) I got online and talked to a customer service rep who could not explain where the problem was. She was able to get my account credited, but I had to go back and order another one, which was more expensive. She also said she would send me a $20 coupon to use on my next purchase, which I never received. I rate this transaction 1 star because 0 stars is not an option.

A really nice iPod, After alot of investigation into this, we wanted to buy one for our daughter. She has been wanting the apple iPod 4th generation. But after looking into the differences between the two I like the generation 3. The new model has had alot of problems, and you can not control it like you can the 3rd gen. Just seems like other than the thinner design, it is more trouble. And after my daughter got hers she really didn’t mind the shape, she just really love’s it.

So we highly recommend the Generation 3 model..

This IPOD was represented as “new” when I was shopping for it, but when it came it was actually scratched and the case had sticky tape residue on the outside. I was a bit embarassed to give it to my daughter, but it works fine and could be registered easily meaning that it wasn’t used or someone else’s IPOD. The seller was more than fair and offered to take it back, still stating that it was in fact new. I would rather he had put a note in there explaining the condition if nothing else. I was upset and disappointed at first but okay now.

Even though the item was clearly listed as new on Amazon and the actual order confirmation, it arrived as a questionably refurbished model. I say questionably because it was decidedly not refurbished by Apple, but instead by god only knows who. I found this particularly disturbing since Target was the seller in question and not Uncle Wiggly’s Electronic’s Shanty or some other dubious retailer. Amazon categorically needs to monitor it’s listings for accuracy as I’ve read several reviews for varying items where consumers have similarly received refurbished items despite having ordered them as new.

Suffice to say the item is being returned for being not as described and until Amazon begins to police these listings more thoroughly. I’m forced to take my business elsewhere.

This is my first mp3 player. I wanted one to use with a speaker like a miniature stereo system in a bedroom. My husband bought me a very good speaker, and we were very pleasantly surprised at the full sound the iPod and speaker put out. I didn’t think I would ever take the iPod with me and listen to it with earphones, but I have. I have really enjoyed it. The click wheel is easy to use and the size is more adequate than I thought it would be. I’m very pleased with it.

Usps attempted to deliver the ipod but there was nobody home, They only came home once…On November the 21st I asked them to redeliver it and they told me that the shipment was being returning to seller…I contacted the seller asking them to redeliver the article to my address again and they told that they would do so, once they received it…Please help me I bougth this Ipod and paid for it on October the 29th and I would like to have what I’ve already paid for.

I bought this as an Open piece from Sams club a year back. I wasnt sure whether it would work long. But it did work. I had to reset it a couple of times… which I didnt like. But other than that, i like this. Its pretty handy. Since it was a open piece I saved $50 on it. And now, I am very comfortable going for an open piece/factory demo item. And I recommend others as well. Dont worry about Open Item.

My Favorite iPod Yet!

I received this for my birthday last year and have been more than satisfied with it.

This device has quite a long list of amazing features. It plays both my iTunes and MP3 files, is compadible with all of my older chargers and USB cords, charges in other devices (even my Xbox 360!), has a great design, is able to play video files, let’s you view crisp and clear pictures and album art, has some really fun applications, and so much more.

Don’t let the wide screen put you off! It actually enhances the product quite well. It’s a lot easier to see what you’re selecting while in the car or jogging. This iPod fits easily in your pocket without you having to worry about it falling out.

I haven’t had any problems with this product. It’s frozen only a handful of times over the past year (all due to my extreme over use) and the battery lasts for a long time.

I’d recommend this to anyone who loves music. This iPod has been a delight to have.

I purchased this product for my daughter and the first one went bad (froze up) within the first 2 weeks. We did everything that the Apple website said to do to reprogram the ipod with no luck. Finally, I contacted Amazon and they were wonderful in terms of their return policy so I returned it. I did get another one but only because my daughter really wanted this product. I however, have read a lot of reviews on the ipods and would never buy one for myself. She still has problems with the screen freezing from time to time but she is always able to make it work again. Otherwise she loves it.

Well the toufh part to help select music isnt very good anymore. And it will not play videos at all. Not sure if a virus touched it or what. And the USB port charger was febal and broke However i had another one so that wasn’t a problem. Had several scratchs on it but that was described in the sale so I knew about that. But I found my other ipod so- I like using this one as a “back-up” for when i leave my other one by accident.

Aside from that it was deliver in a timely manner. Came w/ rectp and And when its charge it works Great!!

Tengo el Ipod desde hace unos 6 meses, si bien es cierto es bueno ya cuando se ha subido la música, tiene un detalle que es lo molesto, anteriormente había adquirido dispositivos mp3, mp4 y son bastante simples de utilizar, sin embargo el ipod es muy complicado, no se puede compartir archivos y es necesario tener el Itunes el cual no es tan intuitivo ni fácil de utilizar como las usb normales, por lo que no recomiendo este producto.

The first time she listened to something, she actually let out a yell of delight! the only problem was that when she went to buy an armband so she could use it at the gym, the store told her that they were discontinuing this shape and consequently they no longer had armbands for sale to fit hers. that didn’t seem right to us…otherwise, she loves it and so I recommend it!

Tiny Little IN Pod

by now this is the latest addition of Apple IPOD to my collection. to be honest, as I already have a 160GB Classic and a 2GB (Nano 2nd Gen), i didn’t really need it, but it being a gift, i didn’t really mind. i wanted one that I could hook up with my Car stereo, and my Hon got this one from somewhere. it is a decent size, and not too expensive, contra my Classic, apart from the sentimental value, do land in the high cost end.

right now I am carrying the ipod in my wallet, that goes in my back pocket, and so far no ill effects have been observed.

compared to my previous ipods, the 2nd Gen Nano, it has the plus of Video capability and color and the size is more suitable for the pocket. as far as the CLassic is concerned, it is pretty much the exact same thing, except for the screen size and the storage capasity.

the only drawback with the Ipods that i, along with the entire population of Ipod owners have observed is the cosmetique. the body is too acceptable to smudges and prints, and that is whether or not you inclose it in a case. i have my classic in silicon wrapper from day one, an last week i transfered it to a Belkin Hardcase, and the back side was all smudged and dirty.

but for my condition, the option was a 32gb touch @ $350 or this 8gb Nano @ $0.00, so how difficult do you think the decision or choice was??? at least I can hook it up to my car stereo and just leave it in there permanently, that is one thing I under no circumstances could do with the Classic or Touch. and 8 gb should be enough for some 2000 songs or so, which if played back in sequence shoul be enough to cover a trip cross country diagonal.

I bought this one for my mom because she liked mine. Easy to use, tiny, tons of memory (1200 songs). I’m not sure how the scroll wheel will wear, but I don’t have a case for it. I would recommend getting a case. Didn’t seem worth the extra $ for a 4th gen.

Yeah sure it has easy control touch pad and it can use i-tunes, I will give it credit for that. The screen cuts off a bunch of the picture in videos. It’s $50 over priced. It doesn’t have any radio or microphone or wi-fi features. And the screen is almost impossible to clean.

Don’t buy this and spend more money than you have to.

The only Apple products worth buying are the i-phone and the i-pod touch.

Stopped working after two weeks. I suppose in the time we had it it worked as would be expected. We snet it back where the Apple people say it worked fine for them, they could not duplicate the problem. We’ll see, I am not holding out much hope that it will work more that a few more weeks. Kind of frustrating when you spend more than $100 you expect a little better reliability.
