Works fantastic but I would recommend having some place like Best Buy install it. It cost me $15 but it fits fantastic with no air bubbles.

I rarely write reviews, but I will this time, because the product is so excellent. This case is really incredible. The leather is of brilliant quality. It is very soft and doesn’t need to be broken in. It fits the IPad perfectly, so that the entire screen is visible, and the buttons and ports are all easily accessible. The device is fastened into the case, so it cannot accidentally slide out. The ability to use the case as an adjustable stand is also a very nice feature. This is truly a fantastic product, better than I could have hoped, and I can’t even reckon of any possible improvements.

BTW, delivery was originally delayed because of the European flight cancellations due to the volcanic ash problem. The company sent the case by second day air at their expense, as soon as it was possible to ship.

I’m dismayed at the terrible reviews. My experience was the opposite. I like this product and found installation to be painless considering what a bugger screen protectors can be to install.

Packaging: The package contains two shields and a microfiber cloth. Each shield has peel off protective plastic on both sides of the actual anti-glare matte screen cover. This is something I’d never seen before. This helps greatly in getting the actual shield onto the iPad correctly without scratching the anti-glare cover and with minimal bubbling. I place the shield on a groundbreaking new iPad immediately after taking off the iPad’s protective plastic so I had no issues regarding prior screen cleaning. I recommend this procedure if you intend to buy a screen protector.

Product: This anti-glare shield has a slight matte end and it has a matte effect when placed over the glossy iPad glass screen. Glare is reduced quite a bit. This shield doesn’t blur or reduce the readability of text and graphics on the iPad screen. The anti-glare shield surface itself is smooth in texture and allows precise touch and finger movements. Finger smudges are less apparent than on the glossy screen. It cleans easily with the microfiber cloth. I prefer matte computer monitor and laptop screens to glossy screens. If you don’t, I suggest you buy a transparent screen protector.

Installation: First, go to the Speck website and watch the YouTube installation video several times. Second, follow those instructions precisely. I watched several other YouTube videos and none of the installers followed Speck’s instructions. As a result, they all spent needless time smoothing out bubbles. I followed the video and had the shield installed, with only one small corner bubble, in about five minutes. Specks’s method of using an inner and outer layer of plastic over the shield itself really does reduce or eliminate bubbles. I had a tiny bubble at the corner of the screen which easily massaged out. I’ve been putting on screen protectors for years and fighting bubbles. This product is by far the simplest to install and has fewer bubbles to contend with.

Conclusion: This product works as advertised and gives the iPad screen a matted look with added anti-glare capability. I notice no blurring or other artifacts with the shield installed. Follow Speck’s instructions precisely and the shield should install without problems.

Decent Set for the Price

This set is by no means the top of the line, but I found it to be a excellent bargain. The leather cover, while somewhat cheap in appearance (and smell), really functions quite well. I use it to carry my ipad around campus and on the bus, and this makes it more comfortable and less conspicuous. Folding the cover back also works well as a stand.

The protective covers that came with the set were nice, but were hard to place on, and the slightest particle of dust left a giant bubble. I imagine they would work well if you can manage to apply it without dust interference.

The silicone molded shock absorbers are pretty lame. They don’t fit well, leaving them feeling loose. I didn’t find them useful anyway, since my ipad is always left in the leather folio (it will not fit with the silicone covers on).

The extra headphones, usb cable, etc. were a nice addition to the set. My package didn’t include the cord winder or bracelet, but I doubt anyone really cares about that.

Overall I gave this package 4/5 stars. There are certainly higher quality ipad covers on the market, but this one performs well and comes with some handy extras for a reasonable price.

Just got my full body invisible shield kit for my ipad. I ordered mine from Zagg. I’ve never used Zagg products before so I didn’t know what to expect. I have installed several types of skins on ipods and iphones so my friends come to me for installation so I do have some experience working with film protectors. The product arrived in a tube. Came with the front and back films, a spray bottle of some unknown chemical substance, and a poorly molded rubber scraper, extremely poor instructions. What they should have told is that your ipad will get wet and you could run the danger of shorting out the electronics if water gets into the speakers or the holes surrounding the buttons. I watched their video on utube and it was not helpful so it did not prepare me for the the installation nightmare. I had the chemical substance all over my ipad and kitchen table. The die cuts on the shields are pretty poor so i had to rip it from the backing which caused it to stretch and not fit the area properly. Here are my complaints:

1. No disclosure that you will get your ipad wet and potentially cause hurt which could cause you to void your ipad warranty.

2. Horrible instructions on how to use the tool, chemical substance and how to properly apply to an ipad.

3. Poorly manufactured rubber scraper tool. The molding on this tool is extremely poor. I showed to my friend who is a QA inspector and they were shocked at how poor the tool was molded.

4. No disclosure of the substance in the bottle. Is it hazardous to children and pets? If droplets got on the my table will it be harmful to my family?

5. the die cut of the shields to the backing is poor such that you will stretch it and it won’t fit the surface properly. Stretching will also cause the adhesive to separate from the shield leaving lumps of adhesive between the ipad and the shield. Very hideous.

Bottom line. Buy something else. I’m going to get my money back.

I’m sort of a nut when it comes to cases for iPads and phones. I’ve bought and returned plenty while looking for a case that looks excellent, is well made, and functional. The Marware Eco Flip is all of these. The leather is smooth and supple. It has a classy look that clients have commented on. I wasn’t sold on the flip style ( the ” book” version wasn’t available when I bought it) but I now prefer it. Yes, I did buy the book version too ( told you I’m a nut for cases) but I find the flip is a bit thinner and more functional when I’m in the car. All ports are available when the case is on, and I find the iPad is more secure in the flip version. I recommend this case highly. Also, there is no chemical smell that some other cases have- just a nicely made, attractive, and secure case for your new iPad. The elastic strap also keeps the case closed when not in use, and tight and compact when the case is open.

I found that this case would be ok except that when we opened up the package there was an awefull plastic smell from the faux leather that still lingers. Also the stand feature is not very secure and often slips.
